Teamspirit

Last week we had our first visit with the rest of the trainees. Also we had to do different tasks concerning teamwork and project development. This exercise was a way of putting down different criteria for our project. The yellow stripes were for the content of the project. They are translated beginning from above 'Ice in your stomach'. By this we mean that we should not panic, but be able to keep focus, also when things aren't going the way we want them to. The second one is 'Engagement'. If we don't feel fully engaged with the project, then there is a big chance that the final result won't pleas us -or you - at all. The last one is 'The Humorfactory'. This is added because we want to have fun in between the work, and also be able to meet new people and colleges.
The red ones are for the projectgoals. Translated they are from above; 'Positive ping pong' which means being able to give constructive critique. And being able to accept the critique without being disasppointed or anoyed. That's also the essence of number two. The last one is 'crossing own limits'. That's both in our traineeship and in our sparetime.
Finally the green notes are for the process. From above they are 'Deadline', which just refers to the fact that we have to be professional and keep our deadlines. Number two is 'satisfied costumers' and number three is 'Getting a rush through your body'.

Synopsis version 1.1

This is our first sketch of our synopsis. It will be further developed during the internship.

Synopsis for Hudson Opera House

In our internship for Hudson Opera House we will focus on developing a more dynamic and eventful website, to give a better idea of the concept and the values of the centre.
We have chosen to give you two different opportunities in accordance to our final project.

We have to focus on one target group, our proposals are listed below:
One is orientated about users of HOH – present as well as future; what is their idea of the centre? What do they expect of a cultural place like HOH? And if they are using the facility at the centre already, we need to find out why they are using it. The other one is orientated about fundraising. How can HOH attract fundraisers for future projects, restoration of the building and what will make them interested in funding?

HOH is a place that is fast evolving, so they don’t have resources to brand them self, e.g. make a more similar website that signalize HOH values.
How can we attract more attention to HOH through a new website?

Subject: What makes this project interesting is to focus on how we can promote the idea that HOH is build on; they need some way to communicate their values as well as their concept in order to attract both fundraisers and new users.

Values & criteria: To get a successful result out of our project we will focus on engagement, getting a rush when things are going great, and being able to take things with a smile, instead of giving up. At the same time we also have to end up with a product both you and us as trainees can be proud of. So we will use a lot of constructive critique, and pitching between your ideas and our ideas.

Method: The best method in this project would be prototyping. Using that method we will integrate both the users of the centre, and people who isn’t involved with the Opera House. By listening to their opinions and angles we will be able to express more clearly what the Opera House is made of.
Before departure we intend to do research on Danish cultural institutions; in which way do they brand themselves in relation to visualization, communication and fundraising.

Thesis: Questionnaires as well as user tests from the users will help us to create a more attractive and user oriented website. Knowing their opinion about HOH is a great way of understanding what values is important for the centre. Keeping that knowledge in front we hope to create a website were the true core of HOH will be clear to anyone.

Time schedule: We intend to keep the deadlines that are listed in our training plan. Since we are working with the prototyping method, it is not possible to stick completely with exact dates. The project will be evolving all along, doing the same phases a couple of times before they are 100% finished and satisfying.
